^Lot 2027 DANGEROUS GAME BOLT RIFLE BY A. JANSEN OF BRUSSELS

Cal. 11.2x72 Schuler. S# 25060. The 26-1/2" one third octagon, 2/3 round barrel has integral matted top rib mounted with one standing, two folding leaf rear and silver bead front sights. Top right flat is engraved "A. Jansen" and top left with "Bruxelles". Caliber and S# are on left rear. Large ring model 98 standard length action with "BU" proofs has had bolt handle turned down. Bottom metal has extension at top to accept large diameter cartridges with rebated rims and is fitted with double set triggers. Floorplate removes with push button at rear. Action and bottom metal have some simple foliage and scroll engraving. Round knob pistol grip stock measures 14-5/8" over Silver type pad and features right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering at grip and forend and schnabled forend tip. Sling loops are on toeline and bottom of barrel. CONDITION: very fine. Metal retaining nearly all of what appears to be original blue. Stock has most of its original oil finish with a few scattered marks. Bore is bright and shiny. Mechanically good. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection. (25-6414/MGM). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
